Zipp 60 Vs Mavic Cosmic Carbone SLS

Just bought a new Cervelo P2 and looking to upgrade the wheels. Have narrowed it down to Zipp 60 or Mavic Cosmic Carbone SLS. Looking for some advice/opinion/reviews to help me decide on which one to go for. Whilst the wheels will mostly be used for the TT bike I'd also like to be able to use them on my road bike for racing too. Weight difference is in the region of 125g - in the big scheme of things is this significant??

Zipp will have a more aero profile compared to the Mavic. Also, I would prefer the structural carbon rim of the Zipp to the fairing of the Mavic.

How much are you going to pay for each set? What's your budget? Are the crit courses flat, hilly, both?

I'd lean towards the Zipps because they're wider and the mavic aero results aren't real impressive. I rode a pair for about 5 miles a couple of years ago and found the rear wheel to be flexy. Not sure if the newer versions are better, but with 20 spokes in back I'd doubt it.

the fast choice would probably be zipps.

the value choice would be mavics.

Got the 60's myself. Very happy with them. Fast, comfortable, and I have punished them on gravel, bluechip, unsealed and sealed roads, in rain and shine since march and they haven't had to be trued or tended to. As straight as they were out of the box and I am 100kilos dry.
I can't break em. I love the alu brake track too. Come highly recommended.
I have had older ZIPPs and they were junk. Unreliable and poor durability. These are heaps better than their old 404's. Winning wheels. I run mine with 28c Ultremo ZX evo's and they fly like nobody's business.

I can get the mavics for £700 and the Zipps for £850. I live in scotland so alot of the riding involves a fair bit of hills which swayed me to the mavics??

Zipp 60 are rebadged SRAM S60, no? If this may matter...

Looking at picture the Zipp 60 and Sram S60 are different. Shape is different and the Zipp has dimples.

The zipp 60 is identical profile (shape, depth, rim width) to the pre-firecrest 404

What about campy/fulcrum bullet?
Shimano C50 could be an option as well and they are wide rims too.

Both these options are a little more costly than the mavics, but you get the great hubs, and close enough weights.

Incycle had some Zipp 60's on sale at the Rancho store for $750 if you live in the states. They said they would ship them too.
