I agree with a certain commenter on the bikerumor page that the aero 55 had a dearth of reviews ever since it was launched, and wondered if this pair will face the same fate in terms of popularity. Still, it seems very attractive, though the price is rather steep. Maybe it's because my perceived value of the brand isn't that high.

That pricing is in line with other wheels of similar construction. I think they look pretty sweet.

I looked at this wheelset to. It comes in at €3500 in EU which is pretty close to Lightweights pricing. Never to late to become a criminal which might be best solution to finance what is at my list

The concept is interesting and it does look they tried something different than the carbon spoked competiton.
What I'm wondering is, how often LW/Mavic etc carbon spokes actually crack, though. Should be much less than steel given the material characteristics? Do people think the added complexity (and maybe a little weight that could be saved) of the setup is worth it for serviceability? Or is the spokes being tensioned the innovation, and being able to replace them is just the byproduct of that?

So, has anyone actually bought a pair of these? Does anyone have any feedback?

Can't imagine anyone has a set yet. Easton told me the E100 is postponed to June or something like that. It was a small change ongoing.
They wanted the E100 to be perfect.

Easton has been doing lots of changes since they have been sold. Not much customer service these days. I would wait to see if the new company is going to keep the tradition or let them go to rot like Madfiber, before I would purchase an expensive wheelset from them.

Yes, because Easton has a stellar reputation for their hubs.

in my world postponed generally means something didn't work as expected and they have to go back and fix it. please no beta testing on consumers

Isn't that a good thing then, going back and revise? I have no experience with Easton wheels. Ergott, what is your opinion if you've read the info sheet on Echo hubs?

The echo hubs on my aero 55 works fine so far after 6 months, I love it that I don't have to bother about preload adjustment.
