Has anyone got some suggestions for wider alloy tub rims?

I'm using H Plus Son TB14 clinchers and want a tub wheelset that won't require brake adjustment every time I change them over.

Using 25mm and perhaps 27mm tubs.

Have looked at Major Toms and TB25s. Is there anything else or would you not bother?

HED belgium C2 as well here. I have a set 28H on record hubs built with CX-ray spokes, they are very stiff and very pretty weight is ust under 1600g I think. 22mm tubs are too narrow for them but I did fit a spare 22mm gator skin tub while out a about and it was secure, left it on for a few rides till I fitted a new 25mm competition. 25mm tubs fits perfectly and it is what I am using.

What is the TB-20 rim? is it another kinlin rim?

Velocity Major tom is another alternative but I am not sure the shape of the well is best suited to tubs less than 27mm wide. Ambrosio rims are 21mm wide so not much adjustment will be needed.

Oh you could try finding some MAvic GP4's 410g of frenchness. Build these in 32H form onto WI T11 hubs or Campagnolo record and the wheelset can be under 1500g.

Already have GL330s and if they are changed it'll be to Ambrosio Crono F20 or similar. Mavic NOS rims command a ridiculous price compared to modern rims. As for modern Mavic rims, I wouldn't touch em with a barge pole.

If found my GP4's for £30 delivered from germany. They are "used" but the brake track is not marked. Sometimes there is a mistliested bargin out there.

If I was paying retail it'd be different. Being in the trade brand new Cronos are not that much more!

The chrono though is quite a flexible rim as it is very light. I am hoping the GP4's are a fair bit stiffer. For me personally I would not ride a chrono rim on the rear wheels as I would break it.

I have a set of HED C2 laced to Alchemy Elf/Orc. Tremendous wheel. I've found a nice sweet spot with 25mm tires, although I have not attempted anything larger.

Ambrosio Montreal are cheap, durable and look classy but not that light (470gr each).

TB20 is a Kinlin Rim. I̶ ̶b̶e̶l̶i̶e̶v̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶y̶ ̶w̶e̶r̶e̶ ̶b̶e̶f̶o̶r̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶T̶B̶2̶5̶. 23mm outside width and 22 deep. Mine came in at 401g and 398g

They were $62 for the pair shipped. We will see if they are any good.
