Hi,
Ordering a wheelset today: White Industries T11, brass nipples, CX-Ray spokes, and Archetype rims. I weigh 195lbs and race at that weight. Should I go 24/28 (24 radially spoke/28 -2x) or 28/32? (2x/3x).

Thanks

I would go 24/28 too, but remember to use spoke washers, so you donĀ“t stress the hub flanges when lasing radial.

20-28 or 24-32 depending on how hard you are on wheels and how much you value stiffness.

Thanks. 24 radially laced or cross. I will be going 32-3x for the rear.

Either radial or 2x would be fine on the front.

Wonder if I can ask the same question?

I'm 60kg +- 1kg. Looking at building up some Chinese carbon rims. Was thinking 16 front and rear which is the same as my training wheels.

Wide profile 50-60mm deep rims.

I haven't noticed any cheap rims that come in 16h. 20h is the smallest.

The hubs will also matter, but I wouldn't spec 16h rear unless you had a track record of being very light on your wheels. Plus for equal strength and stiffness the rear wheel needs more spokes than the front on a road bike... just looks wrong to me to have them the same.
