I'd go to a pro and ask them, I assume they'd just need to etch the surface and re-anodize them.

You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

Jever, instead of anodising them you could get them stove enamelled?
You'd need to take them to a commercial painters and probably pay in beer tokens to get it done as they would need to etch them first, but the finish would last well on a crank like that.

Been doing so with two sets already (the black anodization of a silver pair). Has not been a problem, looked really nice and the bond has not come loose either -- and the cranks have already seen some hard riding. Dark_albert could probably comment on it as well.

Can we get pictures of the anodized SI cranks?
For certain parts stiffer is more important than lighter.

+1 I looked into this a while ago and thats the conclusion I and others came up with too, it would be fantastic to be shown otherwise, opens up some cool colour possibilities

Well, I'm going to give it a go with some Dale cranks I have that are a bit scruffy and need some TLC. I've got some other stuff to get anodised as well.
Fingers crossed it works. It won't happen until next month, but will let you know when I get the results back.

As my post stated, next month, but maybe December.
I get to the UK mid November for 1 week. In the final week I drop the bike into the LBS, they strip the bike and send off the cranks to the anodisers. Likely to be received 1st/2nd week December and built up for my return 19th. Pics will be provided as soon as I get them.

Years ago, I saw a guy at a race rocking the Hollowgram Si with a mirror finish. They looked unreal. I guess all the anodizing was removed, polished, and likely clear-coated. Haven't seen a set that looked like that since. Pity the really creative people aren't too internet savvy sometimes.
