surely it depends on the length of valve on your tub and whether it has a removable core?

I won't be buying tubulars that don't have removal cores. I assumed valve length is standardised ?

The zipp valve extenders fit over the top of existing valve and you have to leave the valve where it is, therefore you cannot close it unless you use topeak valve extenders with the inner valve closing tube. Most people with tubs on deep section wheels use removable valve core tubs and non-zipp extenders where you unscrew valve core from tub, fit valve extender with ptfe tape to ensure a permanent seal then refit valve core to the end of the extender, again with ptfe tape. This is a better solution.

(Some) Vittorias have no real valves, but the really long red cores. Those only work with extenders for removable cores.

Because the Vittorias don't have a removable core. They have a removable entire valve
