Hello,
New to the forum, but not new to cycling.
So, my question:
Who, other than shimano of course, already makes (or will soon make) Shimano-compatible 11-speed cassettes for road use?

SRAM will, since they're switching to 11 @ Sea Otter (or at least showing it)

Any idea if they will follow Shimano 11-speed cog thickness and cog spacing specifications?

Tbh, someone in marketing at sram would have to have balls of steel to not follow shimanos lead. Probably 3 of them!

IRD Interloc Racing Design. As of now their 11 speed cassette is Campagnolo hub design. But I would guess they will have a Shimano 11 speed very soon. Contact them and ask. Of course I have heard nothing but awful reviews of IRD cassettes.

now why would they only offer 11-30 or 12-30, seems very limiting.

So on this thread over at roadbikereview, a user posted some info on Shimano's 11-speed spacing. He said the spacer dimension was 2.18mm and the cog thickness was 1.56mm (making the cog spacing 3.74mm). The spacer dimension is published in a shimano tech doc, but I have been unable to find a technical or reliable source for the 3.74mm cog spacing (after a google search and after talking to Shimano in Irvine USA--the rep wouldn't give me the cog spacing specification). Any idea where these numbers came from?
