Wow! Great specs. And decent weight too. These rims blow away anything out there for durable wide rims. I hope they aren't too expensive when they come out.

The article says $135.00US per rim.

Those 25mm ODs sound perfect for the 25C GP4000S or P4Rs.

So these are essentially very wide, heavy and expensive rims?

If they are strong they might make a good cross wheelset I guess

the rims are a bit on the expensive side. but i do welcome the wider rim. i run 25mm gp4000s with the 23mm hed rim and this would be perfect match for those tires. weight is not that bad - hed 23mm version usually float around 450g, 463g is not a big deal.

i might build a wheelset around this rim with the new alchemy hubs DA11 sp.

I really want to see the cross-section and find out how angled the brake track is.

i would love to see what a 25mm tire looks like on that rim. i already run 25mm on their 23mm rim and love it. maybe the version without the machined sidewalls for a road bike project with the trp hy/rd calipers and carbon ceramic rotors from kettle cycles.

I wonder what they mean by "it may take several years before the new width is adopted for the road". Do they mean until they advertise it for road, or until it gets popular? Seems a lot like a more reasonably-priced Zipp 101. If it's available as a rim or on a non-disc hubset, wouldn't it be "adopted for the road" as soon as someone puts a pair on a bike?
