So as built now it comes in at 7.36 kg (16.2 lbs). Need to get that under 7.1 kg somehow... ;)

Those are hard to get, my bike painter only had the caad 8 one's but they sort of made up the ''caad 10''.
This is how it turned out: http://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=121549&start=15

hope it helped ;)

Iv been debating the same thing, I havnt found a carbon frame that I like in my budget yet and have considered just upgrading the CAAD 5 to a CAAD10

My CAAD10 that I've had for the past 2 years. Comes in at right about the 8kg mark as pictured.

No need to quote above

Nice! Did you swap out any components to get to that weight?

Yup, I swapped quite a bit the more I rode. Only the bars are stock at this point. The seatpost is Easton EC90, the stem is EA90, I swapped the cranks to Force with Praxis rings, the rear derailleur is Force as well, while the shifters and front derailleur are Sram Red. Finally, the brakes are Rival, the pedals are 105, and the saddle is a Romin. 8kg isn't particularly light but with race wheels it does weigh 7.076kg.
