CAAD10 July 2013 refresh by Hung Q. Mai, on Flickr

Just had it returned from a mid-season tune-up and I figured it wouldn't be this clean again for a while. No major changes to the build, just a few updates:

1. Retired my the Ultremo R.1s after finding a few deep cuts. I think I managed to get about 2500km out of the set, which isn't too bad, but there's no sense risking tire failure when I'm descending a mountain at 75km/h.
2. Specialized was nice enough to replace my eight year old Romin because of creaking rails, so a pristine white one went on.
3. Installed mounts for SKS Raceblade Long fenders (you can see the metal tabs under the brakes) because there's no such thing as being a fair-weather rider in Vancouver and I'm tired of the plastic Crud fenders snapping on me if I look at them the wrong way and diddling with the stupid zip ties and plastic thumb screws before a ride.

Don't think I've had an official weigh-in for a while, but it's probably in the mid-15s with my Cateye Strada mounted.

Interesting, there's no Di2 planned for the 2014 Caad's. I'm keen to pick up a Caad10 with ultegra 6800 though.

No CAAD10 offered with Di2. However, the frames have some changes to allow for Di2 and mechanical routing on all frames.

Care to elaborate? Love my CAAD10 but I'm increasingly tempted by di2

If 6800 shifts anything like 9000 then Di2 is moot....lever action on the new mechanical group is so light.

Build looks awesome. Stoked for the new ultegra. Buttery smooth at a paupers price.

All 2014 bikes have small replaceable plates/cable guides that attach with small bolts. The routing for the rear brake is the same as EVO and allows for Di2 cable to pass through the head tube and into the downtube. There is a hole for Di2 on the seat tube and chainstay. The solution is on all frames from 105 to Black Inc. for 2014 bikes.

^ That's interesting that they did that for the CAAD and not the Evo and upset that they do not mention any of that in the dealer book.

Im sitting on a Dura Ace 9000 and a CAAD10, eager to build it up. But I cannot really warm up to the REP colours I got the frame in. Seeing that the 2014 Ultegra CAAD10 can be had in the same (?) matte black the 2012 Dura Ace model came in, I might hold out until I can get such a frame. Does anyone have any reliable information or valid guesses when framesets in that colour will become available?
