i totally get the direction you have gone with this built
you have a great bike there.
there is a law of diminishing returns kicking in on carbon frames costing six times what the planet x frame/fork costs.
in the last 2 years, prices on certain prestige brand taiwanese/china made carbon frames seem to have gone into orbit:
Thanks! Well to be honest, if I could afford a C59 with a pair of Lightweights I would go for them without thinking about it a second time. But this bike serves it's purpose fine. It's fast, light, fairly stiff and looks great IMO.
How do you like those brakes, do they stop well compared to the Campy equivalents?
Thank you! The brakes are great, I don't really notice any difference in stopping power from Campag Records. They do need recentering after every other ride though and I am not sure if it's my fault.
Sharp looking build! The asthetics of that frame are nice. Little bit of slope, little bit of curve, nothing crazy.
Thank you! The only aesthetically annoying part of the frame is on the seattube which says 920G, which is fair enough for the small model, but this is a large which weights 100grams more
I have already planned a couple of replacements, changing pedals to Keo Blade Ti and getting a Tune komm-vor+ saddle as soon as I find one in white. I already replaced the 20mm spacer underneath the stem with a 10mm and I ll be cutting the steerer shortly, so these changes will probably bring me around the 6.25kg mark. Not too bad for a mere planet-x
