So here's the final build. I've actually added about 120g by switching from the aerolites to the Keo blades. I may switch back to the Aerolites at some point but I need to get another pair of shoes, since I'm also using the Keo Blades on my Ruegamer. The final weight is 4.51kg with the Enve 1.25 and 4.71kg with the Enve 1.45 wheels. Currently I have Veloflex Extreme Tires (500g) on these wheels. I could get the bike into the 8lb range with a set of Tufo tires (-250g) and the aerolites (-120g), but for now I'm happy with everything is. I'll continue to tweak things though

I may switch back to the Aerolites at some point but I need to get another pair of shoes, since I'm also using the Keo Blades on my Ruegamer. It's too much time to switch out cleats. The final weight is 4.51kg with the Enve 1.25 wheels and 4.71kg with the Enve 1.45 wheels. Currently I'm using the Veloflex Extreme Tires (500g), which are pretty heavy...but nice. I could get the bike into the 8lb range with a set of Tufo tires (-250g) and the aerolites (-120g). I also need to cut the fork, get rid of the spacers and file down the lawyer tabs.

Isn't the Cannondale Evo frame set much cheaper than this? Evo retails for $3500 and any good team deal will get it for around $1600-1800. Crumptom's bikes are custom but definitely $$$$.
Really interesting build. But why the rear thing to stop the chain on ther inner plate on the derailleur? Take it away and it will be lighter and look better Don't need it either I know

Gum you should be proud of your achievement. Also a testiment to how hard it is to get a rideable bike down to 4.5kg or 4.71kg with every day wheels. And that's with a crazy light frame. I guess it's the tuned items that have kept it below the 5kg.

That's the Fibre-lyte plate. I could take it off but haven't gotten around to it. It probably weighs less than a gram.

Thanks Konky. That's what I was going for. Anyone could ride this and not have to worry about it failing.
I know I could go lighter with a different set of wheels. I could also go lighter with downtube shifters, but I don't think I want to get into that. Everything else is pretty much as light as you can go. I'll keep looking though.

Is the cannonade in a size 557cm really coming in at this weight? Anyways, The custom geometry is amazing. Unless if you've had a bike made for you, you don't know what you are missing.

You are the one that wrote "considering what the Cervelo California, cannondale and those other weenie frames are going for." So I was just responding to you bringing up the Evo. I haven't looked at Crumpton's pricing in a while but assume this frameset is what ~$6500? Sure it is custom and if read my post closely I admitted that. Still doesn't take away from the $$$. Definitely a nice bike and great weight on it. I wasn't trying to start anything.

It looks awesome with the 1.25s on
It's the first bike that I've seen with a crankset wider than the downtube

no, considerably less.
