Caad10 Project

Hello all!
I hear nothing but great things about this forum. Just wanted to say hi and show what I've been working on. Purchased a Caad10 105 last year and loved every ride. I came across a great deal on a DuraAce 7800 set (I know it's a bit older), but couldn't help myself. Wanted a bit more 'bling' =P. So with the help of a friend, parts were interchanged... here's what have been done so far... suggestions more than welcome!
ST7803 DuraAce Shifters
BR7800 DuraAce Front and Rear Brakes
FD7803 DuraAce Front Derailleur
RD7800 DuraAce Rear Derailleur (Long Carbon Figber Cage)
FC7803 DuraAce Crankset (Hollowtech II, removed the 3rd smaller ring)
CN7801 DuraAce Chain
Cosmic Carbone SLS (2014) wheels w/ Gatorskins
FSA SL-K Seatpost
2 Elite Custom Race Matte Cages
Lizard Skin Wraps
PD-M530 Shimano SPD Pedals
Just some accent pieces and the rest is stock... thanks for looking!

Welcome! Dig the bike. I love my CAAD10 as well, great ride.
May placed to reduce weight just depends ok how light and how much you want to spend.

thanks! I just cut the steerer so the handle bar is lower now. My next upgrade would probable be the handlebar. I just don't know if it's worth also changing the stem as well (weight wise). I'm not trying to go too extreme weight wise and looking to also be comfortable (and looks count too =P).

What are the forthcoming projects for the bike? And... how much does it weigh?
Road bike: Cervelo R3, Campagnolo Chorus/Record mix...
Supercommuter: Jamis Renegade...
Oldie but goodie: De Rosa Professional Slx, Campagnolo C-Record...
And you can call me Macktastik Honey Pete Kicks, thank you.

A good option for a stem are the uno stems as seen here viewtopic.php?f=3&t=116669&hilit=uno+stem. Light, quality and cheap!

Thanks! Right now all I'm planning right now is a new carbon fiber handlebar (I was looking into the bontrager x lite isozone)... possibly newer compact crank and pedals. The bike right now sits at 18.2 lbs (8255 grams)... frame is a 54cm.
I'll look into the stem as well!
Nice bike.
Not too difficult to drop the weight quickly either.
Saddle and seatpost are on the heavier side.
Quick releases can drop 60g for around £20
Tyres are on the heavier side and I assume you're riding butyl tubes.
A pair of Vittoria corsa cx's with Latex tubes will drop a significant chunk and make the bike ride a hell of a lot more smoothly.

I would recommend swapping out those pedals. You can get a set of the 105 carbon pedals for pretty cheap, and they're only a little heavier than the Ultegra and DA pedals. I was able to pick up a set of Ultegra 6800 pedals for $100 from Merlin Cycles, but that was on sale.
