Some of you fight have seen my 6,4kg Scott in the "Articles" section (Link in my .sig)
After i rode it for three years i wanted to try something new.

Well, im not much of a CFK-frame adorer... so i decided to take a step backwards and revive my first real good frame, a Principia RSL i bought in 1997, that i used very little over the past few years as a TT bike.
While its geometry is not too well suited for TT, I always liked the ride as a racebike - to be honest, i never felt at much at home on the Scott as i did on this Principia. And it is stiffer, too.
That's why i stripped the light parts fro the Scott and rebuilt the Principia.
Isn't it a georgeus colour? :P

Specs:
Frame: Principia RSL '97 (~1400g) cypress elox
Fork: Mizuno F3 (550g, might be replaced by something lighter in the future)
Wheels: Lightweight D&O 16/20
Tires: Conti Comp LW edition (on the pic, the rear is a Veloflex which spoils the "all black" design slightly; will be replaced soon)
Stem/post: Syncros Altea
Headset: Primax

Handlebar: Syntace
Saddle: AX Sprint
BB: TA
Cranks: SRM Amateur old Shimano
Rear/front der. / Ergos: Campa Record 2003
pedals: Keywin
brakes: Mavic SSC
Pads: Lightweight
Cables: 3 Nokon, 1 normal due to the rear brake cable routed inside the frame.
Skewers: Tune green elox (hard to see on the pic, even harder to get)
Black (or dark green-haven't made up my mind yet) handlebar wrap and black bottlecages will be added soon

Total weight is around 7,6kg, which is about 600g more than the Scott in same setup.

Kinda kicks me out of the ranks of hardcore WWs, doesn't it?
But i begin to like the almost classic look of a non-sloping, rather skinny tubed frame with reasonable stem length and seat setback, and in my eyes any non-black bike is an advance ;)

That is a damned fine bike. I love the traditional road geometry, the flat finish, how clean it looks, and, of course, the Lightweights...

Ichecked, but 1"-CFK-forks are either

- the same weight (~550g) as the bike's original Al one :( or
- lighter than mine, but not available...

so i decided to save that money and go with this one.
