Ok...I thought I'd start a new post with pics of my latest project. It starts getting a little slow around here this time of year because of the winter weather, so it might be fun showing some pics of the components I have so far. I pretty much have everything I need to build up my bike, I'm just waiting on 2 key components

Where shall we start? I know....a couple of teasers:

Tune Top Cap and Bolt

So, what is it all going on?

We'll see. I'm thinking about not even trying it and getting a KCNC M1. What problem did you have with it? It's such a nice weight

I love light headsets too. Just seems like a logical way to save weight if done right. However I just couldnt get the Aer adjusted to run smooth enough to not feel tight. I ran it a bit loose and still thought it dragged too much. Finally after a lot of fiddling with it I creased the teflon "bearing" and had to give up. I welcomed back my regular upper bearing and was back to a proper feeling front end. Still might order a new "bearing" and try it again. Use some grease on it in the beginning.
I would love to hear what you think about it. Might make me try it again or bin it for sake of cyclists everywhere.

The rear derailleur is unbelievably nice

I'm a Campy guy. I thought about going with SRAM Red but I just love the shifting of the Campy. I have Record 10 on my Time and this new version just seems nicer in all aspects...as it should. I bought a set of BTP handlebar clamps to try and lighten up the shifters but for $70 I was only saving 10g. I returned them. Can a weenie be built with SR11 given the shifters weigh more than Red's? We'll see

Correct me if I'm wrong but 2011 SR with the Ti axle is lighter than Red on an apples with apples basis.

@gum ... what crank are you planning??

You can go lighter but not better than SR ... especially on a Campagnolo equipped bike.
