It's tempting to loose 400g by going carbon, but I like the classis looks of an aluminum frame. I think the CAAD8 combines modern tube shaping with an old school no-slope geometry. I bought the frame as NOS so it hasn't seen many miles and Hopefully it will last a long time.

I'm looking to replace my my Fizik Arione CX (186g). I'm looking at either the Selle Italia SLR Kit Carbonio Flow (~125g
) or the Parts Of Passion (POP) saddle (69g). It would be nice to save 117g, but has anyone tried the POP saddle?

I borrowed a SLR kit carbonio flow from my LBS and it was a perfect fit. It really relieved the pressure I had on the front of the saddle, as it supported my sit bones much better that the Arione did. You can actually see the compressed area on the Arione in my previous post. The colour of the saddle must do so people are not tempted to do some long time testing on it.

I couldn't resist the sale hibike had on the SLR Teknologika Flow. Those italians know how to make carbon look great. Actual weight is 133g.

Funny, I replaced my Arione CX braided for it. It support my sit bones much better. I found that I got to much pressure on the front on the Arione and that I'm sitting "higher" on the SLR and thereby relieving the pressure. I haven't done any rides on it yet as fall is on it's way here in Denmark, but I should hopefully be able to get one last sunny ride on it before the winter baike taken over completely.

Nice!!!!!!!
The Cannondales continually impress me with their real-world mass numbers. For a frame that large, very impressive!
