This is my new R3 team. upgraded from RS to a more race worthy frame. unbelievable difference. The bbright is so stiff and smooth. handles much better. stronger in the corners and its almost unnoticeable on climbs. Very happy with the change.

Bike is about 7.4kg right now. I have it set for rough winter riding conditions here in Canada so not worrying about race weight right now. will be hard to get below 15lbs because of frame size. it is a 61cm so already it weight a bit. New pedals, wheels and groupo on the way. Mavic Ksyrium elites, look blade and sram force. Im a fulltime student/cat 3 so cannot afford to much at the time but suggestions are always open. Like a classic looking bike so will always keep it clean and slick.

Enjoy!

Looks great. I'd skip the ksyriums and get a nice pair of handbuilt wheels. Maybe an ambrosio or kinlin rim and nice pair of hubs.

Hi. I am doing the same. Did you change sizes? I am between 56 and 54 and had a 56RS with a 100 mm stem. I am thinking to go with a 56 again.

I am sticking with the 61. I am just under 6'3 with an 38' inseam so the size is ok.
Ive ridden it about 2000k, now and am accustomed to the feel. I have a 110mm stem
and it is definitely a longer reach than with the RS. the feeling more aggressive even with
the head tube but I attribute that to the longer top tube length, shortened seat and chain stays and
overall geometry of the bike. Im sure a 58 would be a good fit as well, however it is a little late
to switch and I am used to riding the 61 for the last 2 seasons.

If you had a 56 in the RS I will bet you are going to feel that the R3 is a big bigger than the 56 RS. Take it for a ride
and see, if that is an option. If not, go with the 54 and keep the same stem length and you should feel great.

btw, Have decided to go with Dura Ace C50's as my LBS had em on sale.
