All true, but have always loved the aesthetics of the PMPs.

And that they are unique...

Joe builds a good frame. Mine is about 17lbs with Campy Record 10 spd, and no stupid light parts on it.

Will
I can't ride that, I'll break it...

Another quick update:

The frame has been painted. Joe mentioned that the Sepang blue looks really good, so I am excited. I should be getting some pictures soon, and I will post them up as soon as I get them.

And while waiting for the frame to come in, I have procured a set of DA 7800 hubs from a fellow forum member. I have touched base with a wheel builder to see if I can get them built up using a set of Ambrosio Nemesis rims. It should make for a nice, durable wheelset and I think the silver hubs / spokes will also compliment the silver in the frame nicely.

As promised, here are a couple pictures of the painted frame:

I think that it turned out really good, and that the blue will look even better when exposed to sunlight.

I have also been in touch with WW member ergott to build me a set of wheels using Ambrosio Nemesis rims, silver Dura Ace 7800 hubs, and either Sapim Race or Wheelsmith DB14 spokes (still being decided) with silver brass nipples. I think the silver in the hubs/spokes/nipples will compliment the frame nicely. It should look something like this:

I haven't decided on the tires yet, but I will probably go with either Veloflex Roubaix or Challange Strada. I am still somewhat torn between going with an all-black tire, or going with one that has tan sidewalls, but I am kind of leaning towards a tan sidewall right now.

The frame should be shipping out sometime in the next couple days. The wheels haven't been finalized yet, and Eric still needs me to ship him the rims and the hubs, so I am not sure when they will be completed. I will build the bike up as soon as the frame comes in and use my current spare wheels (Campy Zonda) until these arrive.

~600 or 700USD is the latest I've heard. Best to give Tsunami a call.

Wow, it came out really nicely! The metallic flake in the blue really helps it pop (I'm sure it'll look even better in direct sunlight).

The frame is being shipped out tomorrow, so I hope to get it sometime late next week. Then I can build it up over the weekend. I will also start weighing parts individually and posting them on here soon.

Wow, that looks GREAT! Nice job with the 2-tone paint color. Looks like a thin band of black separating the 2 colors?

The substle use of logos is an awesome touch--I really like the small "T" on the seat stays.

Joe builds a nice bike. I should know, I've got 3 of 'em (well, 4 if you count a tandem as 2 bikes!).

Thanks. The thin band of black seperating the two colors was a nice touch by Joe. I think it will also compliment the UD finish of the Ritchey fork I will be using. As far as having multiple Tsunamis, if this bike fits me and rides as well as I think it will, then I definitely see at least another one in my future. For the price, there is no way I am ever buying a stock frame again.

FEDEX estimates the package will be here this upcoming Saturday. This should give me time to procure some of the smaller items I need to complete this build, like cables and a new BB. I am hoping to have it all built up by the end of Saturday.
