Damjan, last year Pyrenees was great! Wonderful roads and country side. but my thoughts have been missing something, my thoughts have been with the Barcelona - Tirana bike trip I did in 2009, it was more a relaxed slow riding feel, more enjoying people and country side, less "today I have to do....." it was just moving, from A - B. so I decided to build a Rando bike, maybe in summer I cross the Pyrenees, or travel with the finger on the map from Denia to Santjago de Compostela and Asturias. ;)

Stefan, I have to say.....this is very nice.

Steel bikes remind me of the times I started riding (80's) and back then cycling was a bit more about the experience and adventure then stiffness and performance.

Very nice bike I wish it was mine

Have fun with it.

Rob, yes I remember my first bikes, heavy metal! ;) started cycling 85, later we got the oversized tubes, a Look steel frame, (I sold some month ago) was only 7,8kg with campa record.

cmh, well I am not an expert when it comes to couplers, I imagine they are good when you travel a lot by plane? so it is more easy to get the bike around. I will travel on the bike.

thanks, best Stefan

Heavy metal!

But a lovely looking build so far, despite only being in its early stages.

Looking forward to seeing it...any ideas as to the paint/components? Will it fit larger tires?

this is going to be a really different touring bike Classic lines but with a modern edge
The clean and simplistic look will make this a "Headturner"
and what you have planned for it sounds like its going to be great summer
