Bought this Freshmen year in college. 83 Bianchi. Just recently upgraded the wheel and drivetrain. Still deciding whether to used the all pedal or Look Classic. Without pedals 20.5lb.ImageImage

What I meant was whether to use the old original pedal or a new Look pedal. Damn auto correction on IPhone!

There are still alot of big artisan steel builders in the UK. I would love a frame in Reynolds 953.

One of the current guys in the limelight is Ricky Feather.

He does some awesome work.

Also, there is the likes of Tom Donhou, Brian Rourke and a few others as well who all built bikes for the Rapha Continental.

Related to this topic, but there is to be a new Under 23 race team in the UK next year who are to race on Reynolds 953 Steel race bikes, apparently to hit the UCI 6.8kg limit too!

Great news. My Winter came in at 6.48 kg, so hitting 6.8 shouldn't be a problem. My understanding is that 953 is very stiff, so they should ride extremely well.

I've been riding this for the past year:

1993 Bridgestone RB-1 w/ SRAM.

Its super comfortable, because I have 25c Continental GP 4000S installed with the already comfortable steel frame.

I did a write up of the build here: http://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=105552
