As far as I'm concerned, this is perfection. Every proportion is just spot on.

I really like the sram yellow group on the ritchey. I have one of those groups lying ideal at the minute and your build is giving me some ideas. How do you find the ritchey frame, what is the ride like?
Thanks

My custom steel road bike developed by a local Dutch framebuilder:

Component specs:
Crankset : Sram Red 170mm
Chainrings : Sram Red 53/39
Cassette: 11-27
Derailleurs : Sram Force
Gearlevers : Sram Red
Brakes : Sram Force
Headset : Tune
Stem : Cinelli DNA
Handelbar : Cinelli DNA
Bartape : Cinelli Mash voleé
Seatpost : Pro
Saddle : Flite classic
Seatpostclamp : Tune
Wheels : Mavic Open Pro
Hubs : Chris King 32h
Tires : Challenge Strada 25 mm clinchers
Innertubes : Challenge Latex

Ride is super smooth thanks to the tubing, a mix of Life, Zona and Megatube, the classic wheelset and the steel fork.

Due to the compact geo the frame is stiff and responsive as well, couldn't be more happy!

I love this bike. Red/Black often looks cheap, but this one has class. Black stem (and maybe bottle cages) would make it close to perfect.[/quote]

plus 1, only i would do is the take the white writing of the stem

Are you running full internal cable housing? I'm pondering a custom ti build and I'm not sure what to do with the routing.

Keep it external; it is much easier to work on.

Paul,

That braze work is stunning. I like the simple color combo as well.

Is this different on steel? I have 2 CF builds with internal routing that I had no problems with.

Not sure if I've shown this one before (i've had the bike 18 months). My son rides it more than me. It's my Enigma in Columbus Spirit. If I remember 7.6kg in this configuration. The forks are Enve's.

I call it my 'silver' build as I've had many of the parts polished: Dale SISL cranks; TA Squale rings; Firefly TI seatpost; Extralite headset and stem; King bottle cages; KCNC calipers.

The wheels are FIR's with Tune hubs and CX Ray spokes, Heyllight TI skewers.

I've also just changed out the drivetrain to Shimano (a mix of Doora Archay and Ultegra).

Those cranks  maybe it needs Stronglight chainrings
