Too skinny and a bit too fragile for UK roads, plus I swear by Conti GP24s.

Serves a purpose though - I use the smaller 500 when I don't need to see where I'm going

You really put the "tart" in bike tart Rich.
I cannot figure you out,
first you buy $5k wheels, but opt for clinchers????
Then you clad your $5k wheels in shit rubber.
Now you want to sell your $5k wheels because you ride them too much?
And you are waiting to swap in a new set of superfluous $600 brakes? While you desperately await a vaporware crank that you don't need at all either.
I seriously think you need to slow down a bit and think and relax before dumping your savings into every new bit of kit, all of which you are going to sell at a huge loss soon.

I’ve run tubs before and I’m not confident on them on UK roads. I like GP24s, and they were recommended to me by a pro team wrench who used them on all his team’s training bikes – in an ideal world I’d run Vitt Open Corsas, but I find them too fragile on UK roads too.
Selling the LWs was based on the fact that I’m using them much more than I thought I would and travelling with them a lot too - I can’t afford to replace them if something happens, but I’m having second thoughts and might keep them anyway.
Not sure where the brake and crank comments are coming from – I’m keeping the EE brakes and as my Rotors are en route to SRM I’ll be keeping those too.
No plans to make any further changes so thanks for your financial advice but I’ll be fine

More like my father died and left me some money so I built my dream bike with it, but thanks for making me chuckle.
Hey, no need to take it personal... Also not envy of your bike!!
We all here are actually spoiled
We all are just mirrors one to another
This has nothing to do with your father. My mother also died.... Its part of this whole story.
