CAAD9 Full Build List by deliciouscaek, on Flickr

My goal with this build was 7Kg and I've now reached that. I _think_ I am just about done with this build - I am past the point of diminishing returns. I could go for a set of carbon bars which would save around 60 grams, new pedals which would save about the same. New brakes would drop another 50 grams on top so could get it down to below 6.8kg but these 3 items would cost in the region of £700 and I would rather start a new project based around a different frame later this year.

There's a few more shots on Flickr with how the build progressed over time.

Cheers!

Nice rides! :welcome: to WW!

I love what you did with the CAAD9. I am a fan of the C-dales, as are a lot of others on the boards.

Keep us updated!

Hey Ross........ :D
Welcome to the forum. :beerchug:
I'm from your part of the world until recently?
Warminster. (the land of chalk and flint)
Nice bike BTW, I had a BB30 CAAD9 last year and loved it?
Wish I never sold it TBH?
Cheers, Rob.

Hi Rob, yes not far from me at all. I'm actually heading there on Sunday, I'll be taking photos at the Endura Lionheart sportive at Longleat. Probably perched on a hill in the rain all day, knowing my luck

very nice weight and ride there!
I really like this colour scheme as well but I want to know if the logo's are metallic? I saw one of these baby's for sale (also non bb30) and am really considering picking it up as a spare.

I'm almost where you are weightwise, just need to swap the fork.

Very nice! I love the latest update. I have a similar update awaiting my CAAD9.

Off topic question - Is Lily a pyrenees? Hard to tell since she's hidden behind you wheel, and looks too small (puppy maybe?).

Nice. And inspiring. I, too, have a similar caad9 story. Perhaps I'll post it up in the near future as well.

Omg thank you for setting up your drop bars correctly in your second set of photos. I just can't stand it when people set up traditional drop bars like that.

Thanks, yes the Cannondale logos in red are metallic with a silver flake so it looks lovely in the sunshine (when we get any)

Thanks. No she's not a Pyrenees, she's a Golden Retriever. I couldn't cope with anything bigger than that!

Go for it, I have spent ages going looking at other people's bikes for inspiration

It was my first build, it was changed pretty soon after the first set of photos were taken when I realised what I'd done
