Hello.

Here's a shot of my latest build - a spanking new Parlee Z5 SLi in custom paint.

Build list is:
custom colour matched SRAM Red 2013 group set.
Enve compact bars in a 42cm.
    Enve Stem 110mm.
    Enve post.
Mavic R-SYS SLR wheel set (pics show Mavic tyres, swapped out for Schwalbe Ultremo EVO ZX's) - swapped out standard bearings, replaced with HSC Ceramic bearings.
    EECycleworks EE Brakes.
    Dura Ace pedals.
    KMC X10 SL black chain.
    Fizik saddle.
    Fizik tape.
    Tune bidon cages.
    Tune skewers.
    POP colour matched lock ring.
Extralite compression plug & top cap.
    Exposure lights.
    Garmin mount.
    Black anodised cable inners.

The frame is an XL - frame weight & un-cut fork was around 1280 grams. Fully built bike is 6.35 kilos.

Not super weight weenie, but personally I prefer my bikes to be around mid 6 kilo.

Hope you like it!

really very nice, color scheme is different without being gaudy...
2011 Tarmac Pro SL3 Project Black (gone but not forgotten)
2012 Parlee Z5 SLi (just because)
2014 Colnago C59 (why not)

Matching valve covers... Point earned for having them match are lost in a deduction for having valve covers at all!

Seriously, really well thought out and classy looking bike. Love the colors and it just looks right in every way. Beautiful!

The orange accents are excellent. Ive never seen anyone go to orange so 10 points for originality. Did you do the re-painting yourself?

Thank you for the compliments!

To answer the questions:

pje0713: It was a tough decision to go with valve caps, believe me!

kac & gleason: No, I didn't do the colour matching myself - the frameset was painted by Parlee themselves (to my design) and Sun Graphics in Melbourne Australia did the colour matching on the groupset.

deermatt: yes, I like the crankset a lot - far, far better than the old SRAM Red flexy horror!

Parlee Z1 - Custom Geo, Custom Paint, Super Rec.
Parlee Z Zero - Custom Geo, Wax Finish, Enve 3.4's CK Hubs, Record.
Parlee Z Zero - Custom Paint & DA Di2, Custom White Ind Wheels.
No.22 Great Divide - Custom Geo, Super Rec & eeBrakes.

A very Baum-esque design, but I like it - suits the bike.

One tip: use a Garmin stem mount band in place of the USE Exposure light strap and you won't draw so much attention to your rear light. You can also mount the light on top of the saddle rails (turn the mount over) to hide it under the saddle a bit more.

That is an invaluable tip - I can't believe I didn't think of that myself! Thank you, I'll do that now.

Yes, it's very Baum-esque (and not by accident) - the guys at Parlee produced a Lambo Green Z5i that had paint based on the Baum style - they were having a bit of a gentle dig at Baum. We ended up getting that particular frameset in our store. I liked the design simplicity, but felt it needed a couple of extra touches - hence the pin-strip on the top tube/head tube and the orange inside the fork legs/stays.

Pretty happy with the outcome I must say.
