Mine now the fit is finalised. Ultimate CF SLX with Etap, enve bars and Lightweight Standard IIs. Still got a few things I want to change including the saddle and want black chainrings.

Nice bikes guys. Love the silver look on the Ultimate. How's Etap working out for you? How is it compared to DI2? Looking to upgrade my bike from Ultegra DI2 and move over my old group to my wifes bike but not sure if I should stick with new DA DI2 or Etap.

Very pleased with the Etap. I've never used any other electronic groupset before so can't compare, and I'm a sram fan generally, but I'd be more than happy to recommend. I'd be happy to upgrade to it on my other bikes.

I've had it about 6 months now and am well pleased so far!

Canyon CF in 54
Shimano DA 7800 groupset
Shimano DA pedals
Spesh Toupe saddle
Thompson Elite seatpin
Syntace F119 stem
3T Rotundo pro bars
Training wheels or plain old Open pros on 7800 DA hubs, black comps 32/32h black prolock DT nips 3X all round.
Got a few deep sections for it too as soon as the weather improves?
Weight?......well I haven't weighed it but it's pretty light.
Cheers, Rob.

Does anyone know when the summer sale starts at Canyon? And if the framesets ever get a discount?

Thanks ;-)

Canyon do a sponsorsing program that entitles you to discount on certain frameset and models when you have a race license. I got a British racing license for £30 and got a discount of £250.00 on the Ultimate SLX frameset, which cost me £1500. Canyon have increased their prices since then. Thanks for the tip, allthough a license here in Holland is much more expensive ;-)

Canyon isnt doing BIG sales anymore. Apparently they sell too well.
Best discount happens in fall but thats like 500€ while it was more than 1k previously

the Giro sale was a big let down. last year they had pretty good discounts at their TDF sale, so we'll se in july.
my fingers are crossed, too. either buying a whole Ultimate (and selling off the wheels/groupset) or just a frameset.
