I love it. I'd go for shimano 7800, even if it is a pego. I just feel like plain old aluminum will look better on this build.

Fatto con le mani.

Dario is Dario.

I like it. You don't go for a Pegoretti if you are looking for an understated frame. As this is a fashion weenie I would encourage you to consider going old school... Athena?
Road bike: Cervelo R3, Campagnolo Chorus/Record mix...
Supercommuter: Jamis Renegade...
Oldie but goodie: De Rosa Professional Slx, Campagnolo C-Record...
And you can call me Macktastik Honey Pete Kicks, thank you.

I dig the paint. My vote goes for DA7900. Edge Seatpost, Stem, Bars (all debadged), and some hand-built wheels.

Beautiful and Unique Frame. Congratulations

Id go Campy 11spd with Alu crank and levers. Great value for money groupset even though it is on the heavy side.
Current Harem: Sally (Serotta Nove - Ti/C), Peggie (Pegoretti Love #3 - Alu), Speedy Custom Baum (Corretto - Ti)* & Climbing Baum (Corretto - Ti)*

*Lady names just never came to me.

I love it !!!!

It makes me want to buy one.

Paint is great.

Have fun with it.

Since I am a Campy guy and this is Pego....I would not put anything else but Campy.

Stunning! Pegos are in a league of their own.

I'd deck it out with modern campag and edge everything. White saddle and tape.

I want to third the sentiment that this should be stacked with alloy Athena 11... And I think polished silver titanium Shamal wheels from 2008 or so would be a great way to round it off. Lovely frame. Cheers!

I disagree with all the alu/tita advice.
the frame is such a looker that understated black would look best.
sram force would be an nice counterbalance even though sram would be a bit of a curse in the church.

campy all around but then black, no alu anywhere.
black tape, stem, post, saddle(a nice old black leather brooks perhaps).
black high carbon rims without decals.

it would be like a black velours drape behind a picasso....

Agreed: all black for the components and the frame will really shine through.
Again, I think this frame's paint job is actually quite marvelous. Better photography is the key here, as so far it's akin to someone seeing an underexposed pinhole-type photo of Piccasso's Guernica.

sorry, i know the photos are really awful.

i am using an old camcorder to take still shots
at the weekend i will try again, at least in daylight.

i am sure stefanR could take much better photos with my stuff (so i won't blame the camera) but i guess he is in spain. too bad

Did you order from Dario directly (based on the paintjob)? How long did you have to wait?

Ugly???
It is like a Picasso of the cycling world.
I would love to have something like that. Campagnolo with black saddle and bar tape would look awesome IMO.

Excuse me please. Pegoretti is a great man and frame builder, he builds wonderful frames, but far from being a Picasso in the cycling world.

take this one...

+ a suggestion, ;) photograph the frame in front of a white wall, you will see! make it look "light"
