Well 2 of my recent purchases have come in. The brake pads are still 2 weeks away according to an email I received.
KMC X11-SL chain - 3 links removed (217g); was 230g at full length
15g savings over X10-SL at same length
M2 Racer B/O Ti skewers (28.5g)
12g savings over KCNC Ti
This brings my calculated weight to 5.070kg.

Have you considered a bit of bar end trimming? You may be able to save another 5-10g. I've seen it done for those who don't utilize that portion of the bar.
A thought, not something I'm doing, but a thought none the less.

I cut 20mm off the ends of my ritchey wcs bars 8g total and you lose a bit more of the shorter bartape too, I don't notice the slightly shorter bar either.

I was sorry for cutting my bar ends, though. Had no idea I would miss them...
But I dont regret using shifter cables for brakes. Firstly I only changed the one for the rear brake. Not noticing any ill-effects I recently replaced the other one as well.
These are low-cost grams, I hope...

While some can deal with it, I will not be shortening my bars, I like the lower section.
Now onto the easiest 24 grams I have ever saved. I got my Red Corima Cork pads in today to replace the yellow Swissstops I was using and they are certainly lighter, and a whole lot cheaper. Lets hope they work well. I don't plan on riding this bike in the rain or slop since I have the Cannondale, so they just have to perform well in the dry.
This brings my new calculated total down to 5.046Kg, oh so close.
Heavy Swissstop Yellow pads at 32 grams
Much lighter Corima Red Cork pads at 8.5 grams pictured. They are probably around 8 grams as installed since I had to shave them down to fit them into the KCNC pad holders.
I will have pictures on the hanging scale soon.

So I took the fork off of my CAAD 9 and mounted it up to the Scott and my original goal has been achieved. Sub 5.0kg!!! I don't think it looks quite as nice as the Scott fork. The Scott fork flows better into the 44mm headtube, but the Ritchey doesn't look too bad. Never the less, I reached my weight goal and I am only slightly over budget at around $2700.
Final Build List
Thanks for looking, it sure was fun.

Denzity:
Thanks. I haven't ridden the bike a ton due to work and weather, but have commuted on it a little bit. Once summer arrives I will hopefully be riding it a lot.
Balayeur:
With the paint/decals I usually started around 200grit moved to about 600-800 grit as I got closer to the primer and raw carbon. I mostly did wet sanding. If you search around the forum there are some excellent write-ups on the process here on Weight Weenies.

Wow, awesome build! I'm very impressed how budget conscious the whole thing is as well.

So since Sram Red Black is now available, I am thinking of switching to it. I have done a poor PS job of the bike from my first photo shoot with the two different derailleur options.
Should I "Make the Leap" to Red/Black?
