After a lengthy wait due to Colnago being on holiday in August, my size 58 V2-R has finally arrived.
This will replace my Trek Madone 5.9, and join my Parlee Z5 and custom steel Jonesman.
This bike will be used as an all-round race bike, hence the semi-aero frame. Build weight is predicted just under 6.8kg, with the ability to drop it by over 300g with a wheel swap, lighter saddle and cutting the seatpost.
To some it may seem blasphemous to build a Colnago with anything but Campagnolo, but my other bikes are all Dura Ace, and my wife and sons bikes are Shimano, so in the interest of keeping wheel changes, spare cassettes and chains etc as simple as possible, I opted for Dura Ace.

Frame - Colnago V2-R (1118g) weight is for the frame, BB cups, Derailleur hanger and with headset installed. This is as it came out of the box.
Fork - Colnago V2-R (368g) uncut.
Seatpost - Colnago V2-R (205g) uncut.
Stem - Bontrager XXX
Handlebar - Bontrager XXX Aero
Groupset - Shimano Dura Ace 9100
Crank 175mm 52/36 (636g)
Shifters (372g)
Cassette 11-28
Pedals - Speedplay Zero Ti
Bottle Cages - Arundel Mandible (29g each)
Wheels - Fast Forward F4R Tubular (1250g)
Tyres - Continental Competition 25mm (280g each)
Skewers - Carbon Ti
Saddle - Selle San Marco Regale - custom by Busyman (207g)
Cables - Jagwire Elite Link
Bartape - Pedal Mafia (90g) uncut
Barplugs (5g)
K Edge Garmin mount

PLANNED UPGRADES
Stem: Black Ti bolts
Pedals: Dulight Ti bow ties
Hubs: Kogel ceramic bearings
BB: Kogel ceramic bearings
Derailleur: Kogel hybrid ceramic pulley wheels.
Integrated bar and stem.

The frame came extremely well packed, with everything well protected.
On unpacking if the frame and paint were immaculate and very neatly finished.
There was a small box with all the cable guides, chain catcher, instructions (for those that read them)
Interestingly there was even a section of cable housing for the rear derailleur cut to the exact length for a DA 9100 rear derailleur.
The internal sections of the frame seem extremely clean and tidy.
One thing I noticed compared to other bikes is that the derailleur hanger is on the inner surface of the dropout, so that it is firmly sandwiched between the hub axle and the frame.
