Hi guys,

After my lovely Pina got damaged, I ended up getting a Parlee Z5 SL LTD frame, thanks to Starnut's idea.
I will send my old frame to Calfee for repair - it is an easy one as the damage is rather small.

I received the Z5 this morning (was bought from Momentum Cycling through Matt - great service!) and it looks stunning. Currently putting everything together.

- Parlee Z5 SL LTD - size M, Tall
- Zipp Vumaquad + Fiber-Lyte chainrings
- Dura Ace 7900 for all remaining components
- ENVE Seatpost
- Fizik Arione CX Carbon
- ENVE 1.25 tubulars
- Nokon cable housings
- Look Keo Blade Ti
- FSA K-Wing carbon
- Ritchey WCS Carbon stem
- Speedplay Nanogram water cages

Pictures to follow soon.

Thanks! :)

How do you find the ride in comparison to your Piña?
Also, im thinking of fitting Zipp crankset, what is your experiencecwith the Zipp crankset in terms of stiffness and chainring flex?

Absolute beauty.

I on the other hand have average to below average flexibility and love the tall headtube (looks better than a stack of spacers)

The Pina felt more "heavy duty" in the sense that it is very stiff, accelerates harder and feels very stable. You need big legs to have it moving, but once it moves, it just goes with great momentum.

The Z5 is more nimble; it climbs easier, feels more comfortable and is very agile. It is also a bit easier to have it moving.

They both descend with great confidence.

These are my first impressions after one 60Km cllimb.

The Zipp crank is awesome, except that it is not a true BB30 - hence the spindle is a bit too long for the Z5 (increased Q-factor as well). The chainrings were ok, but I have replaced them with the Fiber-Lyte ones which are much lighter and also stiffer.

Nice bike - good to see what the Vuma looks like on a Z5 SL.

But one thought above - the Vuma's spindle length doesn't change, so the q-factor of the crank remains the same. It just needs different spacers as the BB30 bb is narrower.

Thanks fish, you are right about the Q-factor.

I wasn't at first but it's growing on me. It sure beats a bunch of spacers.
