Excited about your decision to built the ruegamer. Love the looks of that frame :)

Happy to hear you are building up the Ruegamer. Even if your frame is not one of the lighter ones it is still a great frame. When I met Rue four and a half years ago at the Hand Built Bike Show in San Jose, Ca., I was impressed with Rue's work and very friendly and personal interest in his customers. I was there to pick up my frame but spent most of the day helping in Rue's booth. I got a good look and feel for Rue's excellent work and materials in the frame. I'm sure you will enjoy yours.

Yah, after I got over the weight, I sat down and really looked over the frame and was impressed with it. We'll see how it builds up and rides :D

Also the Ruegamer frame is only say 250gms heavier than you were hoping. 250gms really isn't a lot in even in an uber lightweight build. It can still be built up to a very light rig indeed. It is a rare and beautifully made frame that I am sure will have a superb ride.

Good luck with it.

Yup I know. I came to my senses. I'm not going for a total weenie build. I'm saving that for my other project. :D

Finally some logic prevails! Hopefully it rides really well. Make it classy and understated.

I have something really special in the works in addition to the Ruegamer. I think it'll be something new and really pushing the envelope. Beyond that, my lips are sealed.

Even though I'm not going for an ultra weight weenie I had some free time last night so I started razoring some of my carbon bits, mainly so they would match the finish (or lack thereof) of the frame.
