Thanks Chris

I'm very close to finish, brake levers and calliper caps will be anodised in gold, cranks will be polished and anodised in gold again, spider and small chainring will be black, than need to cut brake hoses and put on Nokons and powercordz and that's all :D hopefully next week...

final weight should be somewhere between 8.4 - 8.5kg with 2.1 Rocket Rons... for me... not bad, considering wight of the frame 1540g 8)

Very nice pal, keep us posted
Can't believe you can make nicer than your old bike tho!

Did you get new cranks or just take the gold finish off the old one?
Also, where did you get the gold Thomson stem?

Thanks Tallboy

I'm doing my best 8)

Cranks are still the same,I just removed gold finish and polished them (will be gold again but more like Chris King gold finish :D ).

Gold Thomson comes directly from ebay, but for me it's no problem to buy standart silver or black one and anodise them to any different color I want.

Do you work for an anodizer? I don't know anything about it, how complex it is etc..but why do you polish the bits first? Is this something you always do before sending bits to be anodised?

Great stuff, keep it coming, this bike is inspiring my rebuild of my White track frame with gold bits!

No I don´t, but know a few companies they can anodize whatever you want (Al ofcourse :D ) It´s not necessary to polish these bits but if you want shiny surface you have to do it.
