Anti-weenie Daccordi build
Moderators: MrCurrieinahurry, maxim809, Moderator Team
I bought this frame on one of my whim's, a while back and left it sitting in the cupboard.
Next weekend there is a L'Eroica style ride so i thought i would thrash it together and hopefully take it to participate.
Frame and fork are Daccordi of unknown vintage. Not a high end frame as it doesn't have any stamping/embossing of the Daccordi name on the frame.
From a bit of Googling, i think they were brought into Australia as tubesets then assembled here? Lugs all look like Daccordi stuff.
Picked up another steel bike of unknown origin, which i sourced the majority of parts from.
Bear in mind this is not a restoration or big dollar build, only what i can find or had already. The 105 groupset, including wheels, came of the second frame.
Costs so far:
Frame, fork & headset $250.
Second bike $30
Original 105 pedals (shipping from England) $55
NOS shifter hood rubbers( coming via Belgium) $17
Crankset $30 including another f/der.
Stem and NOS 6 sp. cassette $55
Still need a saddle, bottom bracket and cables. Tyres will be Maxxis Refuse 25c which i have and Deda bar tape.

I'm interested in seeing how the build turns out. I leanred about L'Eroica afger reading the nae in the original post. sounds like an awesome event. Does your local L'Eroica require toe clips as well? Hope you have a good time.

Nice fork crown!
It's crazy to think that we now have frames that weigh less than these forks...
Looking forward to seeing a shot of the completed built.
Have a great time on the day!

...finding my inner Onoda-kun...
Just a very late update.
The week of the planned ride, and the day the bike shop finished the build (18/4/13), i came off my my Parlee and snapped my Olecranon(tip of elbow). Took at least 6 months off the bike with recovery/fear and only started riding again recently. Thinking of doing the Eroica ride again, as i have the completed bike sitting here untouched. Bought a couple of new parts and will post completed pics tomorrow.

Forgot that i never posted a finished photo.
Rode the bike once before hanging it under the carport. Rode it again recently and must say its smooth.
Coming off a Trek Domane and this is nearly as smooth as that. Did 58km @ 31.6km/h avg in a crosswind so not bad for an old girl. Nearly lost the top off two fingers going for a shift on the downtube levers though.
Weighs 11kg according to the bathroom scales without pedals Total cost came to about $700.
