How does the EPS compare to the De Rosa? How different are they, feel-wise?

Very different! The EPS is everything that has been said about it already on this forum: stiff, rides like on rails, handles well (there is something about it that I would compare with over-steering in car). comfortable, but... to me, it lacks 'character' ; you're in the driver's seat and the bike rides you around.
The King feels more "light-footed", lively and needs more active input from the rider. Very comfortable; stiff enough if you're light (I'm 145lbs), very neutral steering, a good allrounder that is actually fun to ride.
Both have a nice finish quality, with the Colnago being perfect, the DeRosa good enough.

Fantastic bike, congratulations.
I have an EPS AM00, but I love the AMIT paint scheme.

I switched from DeRosa to Nago for similar reasons; the reviews for Colnago are almost unanimously positve, not so for the DeRosa. I can't complain, but didn't want to dish up that kind of money for a frame again, not having guaranteed top notch quality. That and the fact the that the Colnago geometry fitted me perfectly, not so with the King 3.
Still emotionaly attached to the DeRosa, nevertheless.
