Colnago CT2 HP B-Stay 2005, new pic and build list on page 5

Planning some updates to bring the weight down a bit...

Brakes: Ciamillo GSL (-120g)
Saddle: Selle San Marco Regale Carbon FX Racing Team (-95g)
Skewers: KCNC Ti (-20g)
Bottle cages: Tacx Tao Carbon x2 (-26g)
Cassette: Super Record (-57g, need a second cassette anyway)
Fork: Colnago Star (-130g but hard to find, please offer if you want to sell... Or maybe custom painted ENVE 2.0 with 43mm offset to save 210 grams?)
Expander: Tune Gum Gum (-20g)

Total ~450 grams less, so bike weight would be about 7400 grams even with pedals and bottle cages.

But I'm thinking if it's worth it, especially with the saddle and brakes, because looks are important to me besides weight and I like how the bike looks now...

Opinions and suggestions, please?

From the above I would only suggest replacing skewers, cassette, expander and bottle cages.
Leave else as it is.

eurperg, I think your bike would look even better with tan sidewalled tubs

thats a great looking bike, hence i would opt for changing things conservatively. brakes, i would go for a pair of campy black, probably record, or even chorus 2011, which are lighter, the '10 were kind of beefy. The bottle cages, yes, the skewers, yes.

true...easy paint though...if not, there is also a carbon 75, even better than the star...wouldnt look out of place.

The worst upgrade fever already went away as I decided to upgrade my full sus 26er and 29er SS instead... Maybe they will be WW worthy someday.
Maybe I will join the tan sidewall craze after I have checked out in Photoshop how they will look... That's the way I plan my upgrades

tan side walls would give a little more contrast on the whole wheels and a very classic "look". go for it, so Damjian has something to cry about
