As some of you know, I am the proud father of a new distribution company and retail shop.
Which will allow for cool stuff like this...

The Ultimate Museeuw Battle.

In the white corner!
The racer's choice, the euro-pro, the rainbow-warrior:
Frame: Museeuw MF-1 Lugano
Features: 50/50(ish) carbon/flax mix for massive stiffness
Group: Campy Super Record
Bar/stem: Deda Zero100
Wheels: Lightweight Gen III Special Edition wheels
Tires: Veloflex Carbons
Saddle: Fizik Arione WCS Edition (about a decade old)

Image

In the black corner!
The lawyer's choice, the tech-geek's dream, the rolling lazy-boy:
Frame: Museeuw MF-5 Vantage
Features: 80/20 carbon/flax mix for the ultimate in comfort
Group: Dura Ace Di2
Bar/stem: Pro Round Carbon with Pro Vibe 7S
Wheels: AX Lightness 42's with Tune Mig 45 / Mag 150 hubs and Sapim SuperSpokes
Tires: Schwalbe Duranos which will be swapped for FMB's
Saddle: Fizik K1

Image

This should be fun. 8)
Full review and hi-res pics to follow soon.

Weight-wise, they are within 200 grams of one another.
Same Keywin pedals and each with a single Tune carbon cage.
Any guesses?

I don't know anything about these frames, but I'll throw out a guess for the hell of it... For the white MF-1 I'll say... 14.8 lbs and for the black MF-5 I'll say 14.4 lbs! Cheers. :p

I like the white frame better; I think you should put the good groupset (Di2) on it instead.

Guesses:

14 lbs for white
14.4 lbs for black

Campy-Black, how 'bout a comfortable race bike?
Black is faster.
I'm looking forward to hearing your review.

I would have thought the Arione to be more comfortable than the K1...

(obviously they match the bikes they are on for now, colour wise)

Both are wicked machines!

The white Lugano looks superb set off brilliantly by the SE Lightweights, lovely. Black frames don't do it for me though.

Gang,

Thanks for the comments.
The builds will remain as they are for now, since I'm too cheap and lazy to switch.
Plus, they are both nicely dialled in.

As for the cboice, I also love the white, but I dig all that euro-ness.
My Wilier is pink and I totally dig it.
Jury is still out until I put some more miles down.

Ok, weight-wise, you guys are GOOD.
But fa63 nailed it.
14 and 14.3, to be precise-ish.

As for the saddles, the K1 is actually not half bad. Really.
Might switch the old WCS Arione for a new WCS Selle Italia.

So far I am digging both of these bikes.
If I had to choose, I'd probably lean towards the overall stiffness of Mr. White.

HAVE A NICE WEEKEND!

That's basically it.
I say it more like MU-ZAY-OO-W.

Oh, and I should add...

On the MF-5 the black is not really all that black.
Most of the bike is sort of brown-ee coloured due to the flax.
I like it - makes me feel like a hippy.
Only the lugs are a black carbon colour weave.
Flax areas have sort of a UD look.

I didn't realize that Mr White had the WCS stripes on the top tube and on the chainstays! (had to do a super enlarge on the iPhone) So damn cool and the saddle is perfect for that bike!

2 very nice bikes but the white bike looks more stunning ! Maybe you can tell us something about the differences you experience between Campy SR and Shimano Di2, do you already have some preference ?
