My name is Rick Woods and i live in Roanoke,Va Im 5/8 tall and weigh 145lbs. After a custom fit it turns out that for my height that i have long legs and a short torso. I have been riding 54 cm bikes for the last few years but with the fit it was decided that i need a 55 cm with some other custom demensions .
I have the Photon set up to ride two diffrent ways.
1. Powermeter and Clincher bike. Bike has a Powermeter Quarq and clincher wheels Extralite with Edge 45 clinchers 1150g for the set. With this set up the weight is 4819g or 10.62lbs. This is with everything except my Edge 500 head unit. I have yet to weigh it. This is the set-up in the photo. This is the way i will ride it 90% of the time.
2. No Powermeter and Tubular bike. This set-up will have a set of Extrlite/ AxLightness Tubular rims around 750g for the set, i will have the wheels next week. It will have THM cranks and i may use a lighter cassett. Set up like this the bike will weigh about 550g or so lighter. So weight should be about 4270g or 9.4 lbs or so. Once i get wheels i will post pictures and final weight in this form.
To convert from one to the other will take less than 5 min.
The THM bearing cups with Hybird Ceramic bearings can be used with both the Lightning and THM cranks and the THM cups are lighter.

Well, that's a VERY fancy bike!
Great frame and top shelf WW parts.
Can't wait for the weigh-in photos. Very nice, and I hope you enjoy the ride.

Ah, in the WW world, there's always (and I mean always) a lighter bike! That's why I eventually gave up trying to get my bike lighter...there's about 30 bikes in the world lighter than mine, and here's another one.
Fame and glory are fleeting in the rarefied atmosphere of under 5Kg.
As I said though, this is a very fine build, based around a great frame. And those AX wheels will be amazing.

Gorgeous bike but I cannot imagine how those bars would work well in the drops as they are set up on your ride.
Other than that...Bravo.

Ah--but you're assuming he's going to ride that sub-10lb bike in the drops!
Wouldn't you just want to hang it on the wall and stare...?

wow! that's impressively light. 10-something pounds WITH a quarq. holy smokes.
i'd probably bust that thing faster than you can say, "pothole."
what kind of seatpost is that?
very well thought out. really nice. really, really nice. kudos & congrats to you.
bar position looks really weird. why?

In a word, no.
Bikes, to me, are 'functional art'. In exactly the same vein as my surfboards.
This bike is just....wow. To have a setup sub 4300g is simply amazing.
Well done.

The frame is an ISP, but the clamp looks to be integrated. Very fancy indeed! Sure makes for a light combo.

Makes sense. I must have misread it. I thought that the build list had a seat post, not clamp. Anyway, it's a great build!
