Thank you for the positive comments. If I want a lower stack without resorting to a full on slam that stem style, any suggestions for a lower / shorter cover than the stock one supplied?

I would take the bike to your LBS and check which headset covers/caps they have. Mainly it comes down to diameter and amount of washers.

Cannondale do a shorter spacer for the Supersix that might fit. Or you could remove your spacer & fit a standard spacer on top of the bearing top cap.
Imho your bike would suit a complete slam :thumbup:
