Was in Talloires, at Lake Annecey, France this weekend climbing the alps. Here is my '12 Supersix in "climbing mode" even though it's still porky at over 7,2kg.. Feels great though!

Nothing like classic wheels with tan sidewalls.

25mm? I see it barley fits inside the frame

It's a 2012 standart. Would love to switch it to a hi mod, but money doesn't grow on trees when you're studying.

Yep, 25mm. The fit is thight but not overly. Had no problems on Col de Madeleine, even though they were paving the road so it was 1/3 gravel with sticky asphalt.

I've been a long time C'dale rider but they don't have the luxurious ride quality if anything. It's a very utilitarian, get the job done, type of ride.
In the last 18 months I switched to a Tarmac and the ride quality is more silky and comfortable.

Couldn't disagree with you more. The SL4 was the most disappointing bike I have ever purchased.

I can't speak for KWalk but just my own experience. Considering the frame design solely, the Tarmac has marginally ovalized (horizontally wider) tube shapes compared to the Evo. Evo tries to be more aero which it actually is. As a result the Tarmac rides more comfy. However also, the Evo is more in Venge territory in terms of comfort. The Tarmac is also lower in the fork to crown length at the front but then makes up the difference in longer head tube sizes. Again to me, this makes the Tarmac a better climbing bike compared to the Evo, because the Tarmac is short and wide resulting in slightly better crawl uphill. It also means the Tarmac is a more aggressive fit so you have to alter your fit considerations in the smaller sizes.
Generally speaking the Tarmac is slightly more silky ride.

I tend to get typically three bikes sizes, one size around each of what I think I need.
