CaptainP, what chainrings do you have on that CAAD?

The stock Red chainrings where i've painted the grey area black. Masked the bits with tape, and gave it a good clean with some acetone. After that 4-6 layers of mat black spray paint. I used a paint inted for bumbers on cars, since it should be somekind of resistance to bumps/scratches? :noidea:

I have another set that needs paint, and i'm thinking that i'll try some Hammerite spray that should be really good on metal.

Is the a Force 22 crankset? Looks good with the Chorus group! All-around awesome. I would love a bike just like that, though I would probably opt for a different saddle.

As others stated it's a Quarq Elsa (Powermeter) - otherwise I would still run my matching Super Record Crankset (also with the old graphics). Saddle is a SMUD II - it's light but not so nice aesthetically 8)

Poor quality pictures. 6767g on the dot without the Garmin. New saddle on the way should save 30g. Probably could save another 50 cutting down the super long seatpost.

It's amazing how much better SRAM Red cranksets look with all black chainrings. They look butt ugly when stock.

Great job, CaptainP!
Long live the horizontal top tube, standard crankset, and Italian threaded bottom bracket.

CaptainP how did you managed to get those chainrings black? I really like it!

Looks great! If you could just turn down the bars a little so that the drops sit parallel with the top tube it would look even better I think :)

Also, how do you like the GP4000S II tires? And did you weigh them?
