So lucky, you get to be on great bikes with Shimano Dura Ace 9000!!! Please give some impressions on 9000 once you try it out. Everyone has been saying it is incredible

Does it work well with those old Record Ergopower and a new Super Record 11-speed rear derailleur?

Cerro,

Yes the old 10 speed shifters and 11 speed rear mech works very well, they also take 10 and 11 speed chains.

Only issue I've had was not at the rear but at the front when using an 11 speed chain and you change down from the 53 to 40, the chain can sometimes sit between the rings but this was sorted by making sure you shift far enough over on the down change.

Thought I'd get my Giant up on here where it deserves to be details as follows;

Frame 2006 Giant TCR ISP small
wheels dura ace 7700
tyres/tubes vittoria cx tt /mich latex
STI Dura ace 7700
mechs 7700 Dura ace
Chain set/BB rotor 3d 165mm strong light ceramic coated rings 36/50,BB rotor ceramic
saddle old ti flite
bars/stem ITM millennium
brakes dura ace 7700 with lightweight pads
pedals dura ace 7700

weight as above - 7490 grms have a pair of LW gen 2 will maybe go under 7000 when fitted will post when fitted but ridden very rarely.Although most of the parts are 8- 10 years old, they are ultra smooth. I love this frame/bike much prefer to the the modern oversize tube versions.

I'm in the process of building a 2006 TCR c zero with ultegra DI2 spec sheet say 6092 grms

tramontane - love that classic old advanced, and those Shimano wheels are a well kept secret ... roll like nothing on earth.

I have a 2008, last year of the old shape, TCR Advanced frameset to be put on sale shortly if you fancy building up yet another :wink:
