well been trolling here for a while now, so though i would post and say hi. just been getting into road cycling in a big way the last 6 months and dropped my weight from 85kg to 70kg in the last 3 months and aiming for 65kg by March then i will try and explain the "need" for an upgrade from the avanti giro to a lighter road bike to the +1. Also looking at getting into some enduro mtb races this summer with some 6hour and 12hour solo rides planned.

:welcome:

Very impressive on the weight loss. As others have said, please post a pic of your ride and the build list.

And, if you feel like it, post how you lost 15kg in three months in the training forum... (no, not that I need to lose weight... no really, it's for... ehm... a friend).

Nice job! I love the 6 hour mtb races but have yet to talk myself into doing a 12 hour. I'm wasted after a 6 hour already.

Good luck and have fun!

On an Avanti Giro at the moment, which weighs in at about 8kg. looking at building up a Neo exile around the end of next year with some SRAM Force or Red depending on how far i can stretch things.

On the weight loss front, i have changed my eating habbits, salads and fish and kangaroo and chicken make up the bulk of the diet now, working on the hills (Mt Wellington in Tas) and trying to get out for atleast an hour a day on the bike with about 4 rides of over 3 hours. the weight seems to be melting off at the moment. :)
