Hi
I bought this frame new old stock in March 2008. I've slowly been acquiring parts as they go on sale and got it built during the weekend. I am a lousy mechanic so it still needs some work before I take it out but I did get to go around the block with it and I like it a lot. This bike will be used for longer weekend rides and climbing rides. No idea on weight but I'd guess 15.5-16 or so. Much lighter than my racing/training rig.
Pics:
Build list:
Frame: NOS Giant TCR size small
Seatpost: Thompson Masterpiece
Saddle: Selle Italia SLR Carbino
Brakes: Sampson Stratics
Stem: PRO 110mm -10 (I'm debating adding a -17 like the other bike)
Bars: FSA Wing Compact 42cm
Derailleurs: Shimano Dura Ace 7800
Chain: Dura Ace
Casette: Dura Ace
Brifters: Nashbar Microshift (lighter and cheaper than the alternatives) :twitchy:
Cranks/BB: Shimano Ultegra SL 165mm
Pedals: Ritchey Pro Peloton (I'd like something different. Need to try alternatives still)
Hubs: (F) Alchamy (R) White Industries
Spokes: Sapim
Rims: Kinlin 300
Skewers: Zipp
Tires: Continental Force/Attack
And just for fun this is the race/training bike:
Giant TCR w/9 speed 105, 3T stem, FSA bars, Williams System 19 wheels
Cheers
Rob

Thanks for the comments. Once I drop 15 or so pounds I'll get some lighter wheels. I've also got room for improvement with my Forte bottle cages.
Sold on Nashbar.com. Made by Microshift. They seem well made but we'll see how they hold up over time. They were like $119 when I bought them on sale. At that time, 7800 were in the 300-400 range. Google Microshift reviews... not a whole lot of bad press out there.
