So here is my main crit bike. I initially had some fitting issues that couple with a challenging DA7900 setup really made me think twice about this bike but now that everything is dialled in Im in love. To be honest I wasnt a big fan of the looks of the Canyon Frame at first. I just bought it because I couldnt resist the bargain. But I have to say performance wise its the best frame I have ever ridden and the looks are growing on me. Here’s the spec:

Frame: Canyon CF
Fork: Canyon One One Four
Wheelset: Reynolds DV46 UL (2009) (sometimes 7850-C50 T’s)
Skewers: KCNC
Tyres: Veloflex Carbon
Shifters: DA7900
FD: DA7900
RD: DA7900
Crankset: DA7900
BB: DA7900
Cassette: DA7900
Pedals: DA7900
Chain: DA7900
Saddle: Fizik Arione
Bars: 3T Ergonova Pro
Stem: Ritchey 4-Axis WCS
Seatpost: Thomson Masterpiece
Brakes: DA7900
Cables: Aligator I-link

Final Weight:
With Reynolds - 6.9kg
With Shimano C50’s – 7.24kg

ohhh Im in love. Beutiful build!

Final touch could be to get a silver Thomson stem, but it's also nice as it is.

I really like the look of the bike- but I think it could use a silver thompson stem to match real nice.

On a side note, it looks like the shimano DA hoods fit like an old pair of socks, is this normal. I would expect more.

Thanks for the nice replies! I'm a proud daddy! :)

Murphs great to see you've got your bike after such a long struggle. As long as it fits you the bike is totally worth it. I have now 1.5cm less drop on the canyon compared to my other bikes. The longer reach of the 7900 hoods kind compensates for this. Its beginning to grow on me :)

It should be fine, i have longish lower legs so I don't run large saddle - bar drop. Might not even need to have the stem slammed

Really nice bike! What is the main reason that Cervelo has DA 7800 and Canyon 7900?

I would like to see 7900 groupset in Soloist 8)

From the SLC thread...

I previously had the complete DA7900 groupset installed but shifting was poor due to the internal routing so installed DA7800 on it which now works perfectly.

I'd go with the Ritchey WCS 4-Axis white stem. It'd match well with the overall scheme of the bike!
