I feel the Scott is stiffer when climbing. More noticeable when out of the saddle. When standing I do sense there is a little less give in the frame when putting in a hard effort. The specialized seems a little more twitchy on tight descents...but might be due to slight geometry differences or position on the bike. The Scott is more comfortable over longer rides, but put a set of training wheels on and tire pressure around 100, and the Specialized is pretty comfortable.
With the set of Reynolds on the Scott, it's a light, fast, fun bike.
