Just a note, Don's bike looks like about a 52. This is a 56. If it is a square 56 that is going to add some weight as well. Also, as far as I know, the tubes on Dons bike were custom Edge tubes that they might not make any more. Rue is bound by the tubes Rue gets, if the Edge ones are a little heavier for safety concerns there isnt much that can be done to make it much lighter.

If the bike isn't going to be Uberlight, either the site should be upgraded to say the accurate weight or he should lower the price since you aren't actually getting a super light frame.

Most tubes scale in proportion to bike size. The head tube scales more quickly, the chainstays not much at all, but on average I think it's a decent approximation to say, unless tube thickness varies with frame size, that mass should be proportional to bike size. This takes Don's 610 grams up to 56/52 × 610 grams = 657 grams. That leaves 293 grams for the bearings.
Your argument on the tubes is a bit like saying if the cook runs out of chile pepper, it's okay to keep selling the "super-spicy" tofu dish without the spice. If it has moderately light tubes, it's not an Überlight frame. Excellent still, no doubt, but it's not sold as the Übergood.
