a 3 inch larger 'wingspan' is pretty huge. and contributes greatly to the drop achievable/optimal.

it is also known as a positive or a negative ape index. mentioning that I have a negative ape index makes me feel better about my not considerable drop.

Lots of other things factor in.

My fitter did quite a few tests with different bar reach/drop combos. Resistance, EMG, etc. This level of drop provided me with the most activation amongst working muscles without impinging my hips at all. Going higher was actually worse.

So with all that taken into account I have no real reason to believe that things are incorrect.

and prob get a shoe rack so you don't have to use the top of a cardboard box.

Is anyone able to tell me the weight of the frame and fork on the 2015 Specialized Tarmac Elite? The SL5 frameset. I can't seem to find it online.

Thanks guys!

Not a Tarmac, but still a Specialized. I plan on using this for CX come fall, but for now it's a decent commuter/gravel/rain bike. I'll put on CX tires when the time comes. Only complaint is the braze on FDR. I wish I could put something bigger than a 48T big ring.
