mrgray wrote:@ekorre - what is the weight? minus spare tube, computer for example. very flash bike, brilliant colour scheme. have you removed decals from seat post or is it a non-colnago post?

your stem/bar combo looks great, is that a 130 mm stem? looks neat how the drop bars are pretty much parallel with stem.

Thanks for the kind words.

Seatpost is an Fizik R1. The cockpit is a Fizik R1 Snake with 120mm stem. Love those bars so much.

Weight is 6.8kg Spot on the UCI limit :P

Here's my Colnago with it's current build. Planning on changing quite a few things to make it lighter etc.

2006 Extreme Power in STSL paint size 56 trad geometry. 7.21 kg as photographed. Cinelli seatpost, stem and bars. Super Record 11sp mechanical gruppo. Nimble Fly 28mm wheels shod with Vittoria CG Pave 24mm tubulars.

I love this build, smoothest carbon racer I've ever ridden, reach is perfect for me but alas it's too long in the seat tube for me. I have to ride it with the seat post sunk much further into the frame...... I'll sell this frameset when I find a smaller EP or EPS that takes my fancy but for now I'll happily ride it.

Nice color scheme, and the fit is just like a non-sloping bike should be. A smaller frame would look really stupid because even now you have lots of spacers...

If something has to be changed it's the saddle and bars.

Saddle is a non negotiable item, bars and longer stem might be a change in the middle distance future.

Bottle cages - agreed, more understated units required

Chain too short - YIKES! It's a 112 link lifted from my former SP9 build - major oversight...........

I don't think the chain is too short, just that it's in the big ring and the second largest cog of a fairly big cassette. Let's see a pic in the small/small combo to check length. Pretty sure it's fine.
Friend rides with an all carbon SMP and I know others who do and swear by them. So I guess if it works for you...
But those bars, yeah... Bin 'em.
