@ride1970 - thanks for the feedback on shamal v bora. i think i know what you mean about the boras feeling a bit dead. hyperons are definitely more comfortable in my opinion and i agree re: the snap of lightweights. when ive been on the hyperons or boras for a while i find myself missing a certain feel i get with the lightweights but then i miss how great the boras and hyperons spin and brake when i have the LWs on. but all of them great and a real pleasure to use.

here is a picture of a colnago c59 since i got a bit off topic re: wheels. scale says 6.49 kg. improvements have since been made and hence the signature saying it is 6.2 kg.

Stem is Deda Zero100 and bars are Deda Presa.

@mockenrue - if that observation is about my bike then:
1. you're right - that's exactly it. and this leads to quite a lot of writing because i've been thinking about this bar and stem combo constantly lately
2. i've got some weight i can lose i know, bars are 219 g and stem is 129 g (120 mm)
3. i had schmolke TLO bars (154 g) but the reach is 18 mm more than the Dedas and i wanted to have a long stem because i thought it would be fun (i like the look of it) and also i really like the feel of the deda presa bars
4. i had a extra lite hyperstem which was a 110 mm 12 deg and i think it weighed 84 g. but following an incidence of speed wobbles i decided i wanted something stiffer and i love the look of deda on a build too, hence the 100.
5. on a near weekly basis i order mcfk stem and bars (also around 75 mm reach), then cancel the order. i really want to save the weight but so expensive! also i'd prefer matt but that costs even more and for what! also stem usually isn't in stock.

if you weren't making an observation about my bike mockenrue then i can only say sorry for the above.
