@iwantone, nismosr and erik$ you are all very lucky people!

@iwantone that is probably the best looking c40 setup i have seen for awhile. nice and low at the front and the blacks and blues go together very well.

@ erik$ i agree that black tyres would set it off but i think the work to get a trad was worth it. very nice indeed and i'm convinced that if i'm getting a c40 or 50 it has to be trad.

@nismosr - the blue is really really nice. i really look forward to seeing how this one is built up. i think this paint is really great and a clever change for colnago.

the aero bike is an aero bike so i suppose it will look like an aero bike. i agree it is not very inspiring though is it. still wouldn't mind racing one.

and calnago thanks for your edifying remarks re: the headset. one of the things a relative noob like me has enjoyed about the colnagos i've had is that they have been very robust and relatively easy to work on. and that comes down to things like the headset but perhap even more importantly the BB which whether the older system of the new c60, has just worked without issue for me.

looking forward to the c60 build. alot.

While the name might live on, the days of frames being put together by hand in his "basement" are going to come to a close at some point. What happens after that remains to be seen... but as things go, the differences are getting harder and harder to fully appreciate, and though I haven't compared their new "aero" offering to anything else in the flesh, it sure looks a lot like a "me too" kind of effort.

Sad but true. I don't think about it and just enjoy the most well made and best riding carbon lugged frames on the planet. When this sad day comes to pass I'll have bought my last Colango and will probably give Parlee a try along with Moots for future fame purchases.

I like the blue. Just wish the lugs only were blue with the rest of the fork and seatpost remaining naked carbon.

Calnago wrote:@Nismosr... didn't know you had that on order... when can we expect it built up? Not sure about the painted seatpost however.

Cal, after I sold the C59 and the EP, ordered this one, it was a 2 month wait. Darn I opted for the painted seat post $199 extra, guess I should have pick the regular one. SR EPS RD just came in from Ribble and waiting for the bb Cups from Wiggle, hoping next week I should be done.

it looks really nice and i love the way the blue BB area comes thru the 5 arm. good choice on the 5 arm crank by the way (and Ti as well). it is nicer than the new one to look at and in this setting the 5 arm is very effective because it is less solid.

i think colnago has done a great job with this colour scheme.
