Sigh...It was just an experiment to see how quickly a response would come as I know from reading previous posts that even he thought the saddle looked too low on the bike. From looking at different saddles and alternate posts to give an illusion that the saddle was higher. Don't sweat it, i was bored, move along...

I still sometimes think that the sadlle is too low for this frame, when looking at it from different angle. But sometimes I think its perfect!
Stem is 110 mm. Sadlle height 75 cm. Seat tube center to top: 59 cm.

I know, its a great bike and yes i think it looks fine, I was just pulling your leg. I've had all sorts of bikes / frames over the years and am lucky enough to of counted a colnago master as one of my previous bikes. Standard geometry too as it was way before compact frames.

I also like some sloping frames, but always think that horizontal top tube frames look more manly

I agree on the Zipps, but the rest of the build is done very well. Handlebars nicely set up, record 10 speed, tan sidewalls, an aesthetic saddle-bar drop. I think all that needs to be done is the decals removed on the Zipps - they're still great wheels, it's just the logo really does not compliment the Colnago.

You where right. So the Zipp's are gone and i'm on the hunt for something els for next summer.

I think unlabeled Reynolds`s DV46 would look very well on your Master!!

sadly my master died at the bonnet of an uninsured driver many years ago, luckily i managed to escape!

seeing as im the originator of this thread i think its about time i put something into it.
Here is my new (to me) Colnago Decor Master Olympic,bought after a very long time searching,just needed a few parts to customise and put it back to period.Had my first ride today,about 50m and it feels fantastic,well worth the wait.And a picture from our first ride.i know its not new or carbon but i absolutely love it.

With Berk seat combo will be optical much better, with SLR saddle you could also raise setpost app. 1 cm.

Thanks, but I cant sit on SLR sadlle, its too stiff for me.
